Backing Plate For Heavy Duty Rod Holders - Rh5930 - 364-Rh5930F1
For the ultimate installation, use our stainless steel backing plates. They are constructed from heavy gauge type 316 stainless plate and have built in safety eyes on both sides. The RH5930 accommodates all Heavy Duty 30, 15, 0 degrees rod holders in gunnels up to 1-3/4" thick. Includes stainless bolts, locknuts and washers for a maximum strength installation.

Individual sizes to fit most popular big game reels. Constructed of Marine Grade Aluminum and Anodized Bright Gold. Reel is attached to hanger by spring loaded pins riding in bracket. Pins snap into harness lugs on top of reel. Reel cannot swing since it is held in upright position. Tip of rod is placed into locking end of set and the nylon ring is rotated to lock it in. Primarily designed to be used with bent butt tackle, the rod holders unique swivel base allows the rod butt to rotate in the rod holder when side pressure is applied to the tip of the rod. This is an indispensable tool, especially important in Giant Blue Fin Tuna fishing, where reel drags in the neighborhood of 60 pounds are frequently used and can result in tremendous forces being applied to the rod holder pin. This reduces the possibility of line fraying and enhanced drag as the line streams sideways out of the roller tip instead of over the roller. Straight butt rods can be manually rotated so that the line remains on the tip's roller.
